All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth.

Porter mentioned yesterday that another top tooth was loose.. I checked.. and yep it was. It fell out that night while he was brushing his teeth. It fell to the floor. Aunt Stephanie was babysitting the crew during this (we were at a work dinner). They searched the bathroom and could not find it. His solution was to write a note:

giant tomato plants

Here is a picture of me atlast..... standing next to my monstrously tall tomato plants. They are taller than I am. I think I am missing a step in growing them.. One plant has about 15 tomatos, the other only 3. I seriously have no idea why they are so giant. I have not fertilized then at all.

I decided to not show the picture from feet up cause my diet dr pepper belly wasn't properly sucked in. ( I have no idea why my words were underlined.. and no idea how to make them not underlined )

3 Time Winner *Best Fireworks*

One of ten fire balls which went off this night. Very cool!

An attempt to capture three fire balls which went off all at once. Very thrilling! Yep it lit up the whole sky.

See the fire balls smoke rings. Very spectacular!

Finally, this is the best I can do to capture one of the finale displays of the fireworks. Of course all of these pictures do not do justice until you've seen them in person with sound effects which are a much better entertainment than just the view. Next year, come out and see them for yourself. I guarantee you will never want to miss another Independence Day without seeing the Melba Idaho fireworks show. Ever!

Porters 7th Birthday

Porter is now 7 years old. I can't believe he is growing up so fast. He was 10lb 3oz and 22inches long when he was born. He also came out BOY despite the ultrasound showing girl. That was a huge surprise to say the least. :-)

Life Update.

Well.. derrick has had work one day this week. They have asked him to call Monday before coming in to find out if there is work for that week. Meanwhile, he has been searching for a new job. He has an interview lined up in Scottsbluff, Nebraska for Thursday the 12th. Its about 3 hours from where we currently live. The offer in Vale Oregon is still tentative. We are still waiting on them to do all the preliminary stuff that they do.

We have also put our house up for sale. In the event that we don't sell, we have a renter that really wants to rent the house starting in June.

Soccer starts in the next couple of weeks for the boys, they will be on the same team which will be nice. I am sure they will enjoy that.

Painted Dining room.

Remember my dining room when we first moved into this house? The Picnic Basket room? Ring a bell? Well, I have finally painted the room! Only took me nearly 8 months to finish it. I still need to get baseboards and paint them white and nail them to the wall. BUT STILL, IT IS FINALLY PAINTED! The color is called Harmonious Cream.

Update.

The boys were out of school on Friday and out this Monday aswell. A four day weekend. Derrick has been working long days, and was informed that they were working Saturday and Sunday aswell. He was able to come to the first part of church and leave right after he took the sacrament. He and I are both tired I think.

Friday, I took the boys to a fun indoor swimming place called Adventure Island. It had a lazy river, small water slides, and zero depth area. Hazel really enjoyed walking around in the water. The boys spent most of their time in the lazy river.

Tuesday is a free zoo day and I am tempted to keep the boys out of school just to go to that. Chances are though, that I will just have them go to school.

There are no new pictures to post. I might just paint my dining room and kitchen a cream color since I can't decide on anything fun.

Oregon Trip

We took a trip to Oregon to attend Derrick's mothers funeral. She was in a car accident and died January 17. We will miss her greatly. We had a really nice time visiting and reconnecting with all of Derricks brothers and sisters and cousins and other family. The drive was 16 hours there and 20 hours back due to snow and ice on the road the ENTIRE way back. The kids were real troopers. We were able to visit my sister Stephanie on the way there, and my sister Jenni on the way back. My parents and my sister Alissa met us in Oregon and attended the funeral with us. I loved seeing them and their presence was comforting to our family.

Here is a picture of the kids with Stephanie.
